Open top containers are specialised units for goods which have to be loaded using a crane. They are a modification of the standard specification and are made for the transportation of heavy or bulky cargo, or over-height loads that will not fit through the conventional doors, or otherwise needs a crane in order to be loaded efficiently and safely. Some examples of such cargo include large pipes, steel bars, general industrial cargo, iron ore, cabling, logs and mining material.
Loading such bulky goods using a crane is both easy and efficient with open top containers.
Please note that the roof opening will be smaller than the internal dimensions of the container because of the protruding top side rails; these are necessary in order to support the stubs and the roof bows.
