A shipping container is a large steel storage box used to transport goods all over the world. Mainly by land and sea.

They are durable to protect their cargo and they have an exceptional lifespan.

Our containers are 8ft wide, 8ft 6” high (or 9ft 6” in our High Cube range) and come in lengths from 8 to 45 feet.

Yes, if you are looking to store items on your premises we offer new and used containers which are clean and dry, meaning they are great for your domestic or business storage.

We also have a hire/rental option with flexible leases for as long or as short a time as you need.

We also have an easy access self-storage facility in Cumbernauld.

Getting the right size of storage is crucial. You don’t want to be over-paying for extra space and you don’t want all your stuff crammed in as that can cause breakages.

Our wide variety of container types include sizes and dimensions to help you calculate the one for you.

Yes, our shipping containers are made for the purpose of moving goods around the world. They are designed to withstand even the most adverse weather conditions.

They have a durable 28mm marine plywood floor, water-tight seals around the doors, and the Corten steel used is high tensile and rust-inhibiting.

Yes, our shipping containers are very secure. They are made with strong steel and have at least two locking bars on every door panel.

They can be fitted with lockboxes for extra security. We recommend you to secure your container at the entry point with a lockbox and a high security padlock to prevent unauthorised access.

A lockbox is a steel housing or cover for a padlock for extra security. It is welded to one door and closes over a lug welded to the second door. It allows a padlock to be fitted inside the casing, protecting it from tampering, and deterring bolt cutters from access to the padlock.

The benefit of shipping containers is that they are classed as temporary structures, and can be moved at any time with specialist equipment. Therefore, in most cases, you do not need planning permission.

However, if you are concerned, speak to your local planning department about their policy in regard to shipping containers for storage, along with any neighbours that may be affected.

Shipping containers require a solid level foundation with approximately 5 foot clearance to allow the doors to be opened.

The containers only need support under the four corners due to their rigid construction. Ideal supports include concrete bases, flagstones or railway sleepers
